Also know as मोह मुद्गर (Hammer [to shatter] illusion/attachment) the imp of BhajaGovindam in the Bhakti tradition cannot be overemphasized.
Verse 1
भज गोविन्दम् भज गोविन्दम् भज गोविन्दम् मूढमते l
संप्राप्ते सन्निहिते काले न हि न हि रक्षति डुकृञ्करणे॥ Verse 1 #BhajaGovindam
I think line 1 is quite clear भज गोविन्दम् भज गोविन्दम् भज गोविन्दम् - मूढमते O you dull-witted (one), you dork, moron... so on and so forth. संप्राप्ते come, arrived सन्निहिते placed near काले time, death न हि न हि not indeed रक्षति protects डुकृञ्करणे [Pāṇinian] rules of grammar.
Beginners, it's important to listen to the Sanskrit, because what it sounds like and what the words are in sandhi become clear in #SAH

मूढ You Fool, जहिहि = destroy , धन-आगम collection of wealth तृष्णाम् desire . कुरु Do, make सद्-बुद्धिम् your mind pure मनसि in your heart वितृष्णाम् desire-less-ness. यत् what लभसे you obtain निज-कर्म from your own effort उपात्तम् employment वित्तम् wages तेन with that विनोदय please चित्तम् your mind.
Verse 3
नरी स्तनभर-नाभीदेशम् दृष्ट्वा मा गा मोह आवेशम् l
एतत् मांसवसादि विकारम् मनसि विचिन्त्य वारम् वारम् ll
नरी-स्तनभर-नाभीदेशम् a woman's full breast and area of the navel दृष्ट्वा having seen , मा don't गा go [to the state of मोह-आवेशम् being in the possession of delusion एतत् this मांसवसादि is just flesh etc विकारम् form.
मनसि in your mind विचिन्त्य consider this वारम् वारम् again and again. end of verse 3
Verse 4
नलिनी-दल-गत-जलम् अति तरलम् तत्वत् जीवितम् अतिशय चपलम् l
विद्धि व्याधि-अभिमान ग्रस्तम् लोकम् शोक हतम् च समस्तम् ll
This one is so, so true: नलिनी-दल-गत-जलम् [like] water gone from the leaf of a lotus अति-तरलम् very fickle, unsteady तत् -वत् like that ; जीवितम् life अतिशय extremely चपलम् momentary, wavering; विद्धि know [this] व्याधि illness, disease अभिमान pride ग्रस्तम् is in the grip of ; लोकम् the world शोक हतम् ruined by sorrow च and समस्तम् everyone. End of verse 4
Verse 5
यावत् वित्त-उपार्जन सक्तः तावत् निज परिवारः रक्तः l
पश्चात् जीवति जर्जर देहे वार्ताम् कः अपि न पृच्छति गेहे ll

यावत् पवनः निवसति देहे तावत् पृच्छति कुशलम् गेहे l
गतवति वायौ देह अपाये भार्या बिभ्यति तस्मिन् काये ll
यावत् till such time पवनः breath निवसति resides देहे in the body तावत् till then पृच्छति asks [about] कुशलम् welfare गेहे in the home, गतवति वायौ when breath leaves the body देह-अपाये at expiration of the body भार्या[even] the wife बिभ्यति is scared तस्मिन् काये of the body,

Verse 7
बालः तावत् क्रीडा सक्तः तरुणः तावत् तरुणी सक्तः l
वृद्धःतावत् चिन्ता सक्तः परे ब्रह्मणि कः अपि न सक्तः l
तावत् till such time बालः a lad क्रीडा सक्तः [he is] attached to play, तरुणः तावत् till he is a young man तरुणी सक्तः he is attached to the young woman, वृद्धःतावत् चिन्ता सक्तः till he is old, he is attached to worries, परमे ब्रह्मणि the supreme being; कः अपि न not anyone सक्तः = is attached to.
